Our team consists of a mix of early childhood content experts, training and technical assistance consultants, policy analysts, communications specialists and administrative staff. All of us bring our knowledge, experience, and passion to Our Work.

Leadership

Jeremy Reuter joined the Early Childhood Investment Corporation in August of 2016 as the Chief Executive Officer and will lead the organization’s work in early childhood innovation and design, technical assistance and consultation, as well as in public education and community engagement.  The work of ECIC is aimed at increasing public and private investment in early childhood and improving outcomes and school readiness for young children.

Mr. Reuter is a seasoned early childhood professional, having served as Special Assistant to the Michigan Department of Education’s Deputy Superintendent of the Office of Great Start, as Director of the Head Start State Collaboration Office and as Director of the T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Program. Most recently, he was Director of Funding and Government Relations for the nationwide Learning Care Group, where he managed a 37-state portfolio of state and federally funded pre-K programs, led the organization’s participation in state early childhood quality rating systems, and served as government relations advisor in state and federal early childhood policy.

Mr. Reuter received his Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Community Services and Master’s Degree in Family Studies from Michigan State University.  His interest in early childhood stems from a personal history of wanting to serve others and began his career in the field as an Assistant Teacher in a four-year-old preschool classroom, and every professional step forward has been aimed at serving a larger number of children and families.  

Tracey joined the Early Childhood Investment Corporation in February of 2017.  She was formerly the Finance Controller for Consumers Mutual Insurance of Michigan.  Tracy has 29 years’ experience in the accounting field, working both in public accounting and in private industry.  Tracey held a variety of positions as Controller and VP of Finance and Administration, most recently in the non-profit spectrum for Michigan Restaurant Association.  She has received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
