Social/Emotional Health

Purpose:
The Social/Emotional Health Committee is composed of early childhood mental health leaders. The Committee will provide a forum for shared leadership, coordinated planning and strategic communication to improve the social and emotional health outcomes of all young children and their parents in Michigan.

Chair:
Pending new appointment from ECIC Executive Committee.

The Chair also serves as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee of the ECIC Executive Committee.

Scope of Work:

  • Update and advise implementation of Social/Emotional Health Component of Great Start System Blueprint.
  • Convene task force(s) as needed to address priority focus areas within the Great Start System Blueprint.
  • Advise on component specific resource materials, technical assistance and consultation.
  • Plan and host a stakeholder convening on research and best practices in early childhood social/emotional health.
  • Prepare recommendations for ECIC Strategic Planning Committee regarding ECIC workplan in this component area, e.g. access, quality, standards, capacity, innovation, evidence-based practice/research, workforce development, finance, interface with other components (program and service integration).
