Director for Great Start Collaborative Development and Assistance

The Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC) is seeking to fill the position of Director for Great Start Collaborative Development and Assistance. The ECIC, a public non-profit corporation, is ensuring a Great Start for Michigan�s children, birth to five, through knowledge development and research, advancing public education and public will, increasing investment and supporting the building of local early childhood systems through Great Start Collaboratives.

Position Summary
The position of Director for Great Start Collaborative Development and Assistance, under the supervision of the Vice President for Great Start System Planning and Evaluation, functions as the supervisor for the team of regional technical assistance consultants for Great Start System development and assistance. The position requires extensive demonstrated project and team management experience with demonstrable achievements. The successful candidate will have experience managing a non-central office-based work team of professional consultants; will have demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation and evaluation of adult learning for professionals across a range of disciplines; and will have expertise in using a collaborative approach at all levels within a network of organizations or programs. The position also serves as a member of the ECIC Leadership Team.

Education and Experience Required
Masters degree from a discipline related to the field of early childhood, with 3 to 5 years of related experience or a Bachelors degree from a discipline related to the field of early childhood with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience. Relevant disciplines include: business, social work, early education or elementary education, nursing, family ecology, child psychology, public policy, etc. Experience must include a current or prior leadership position in the development, implementation and evaluation of a collaborative initiative at the local, state or national level.

Compensation

The ECIC, a public non-profit corporation, is ensuring a Great Start for Michigan�s children, birth to five, through knowledge development and research, advancing public education and public will, increasing investment and supporting the building of local early childhood systems through Great Start Collaboratives.

Position Summary
The position of Specialist for Early Childhood Social and Emotional Health is a new contractual position with highly competitive reimbursement for deliverables as specified in the contract with a multi-year contract anticipated. The contract for this position is managed by the VP for Great Start System Planning and Evaluation. The position functions as the ECIC knowledge leader for the social and emotional health portion of the Great Start System Component and serves as a leader on behalf of the ECIC for the related ECIC External Board Advisory Committee. The position plans, coordinates, provides and/or oversees the provision of information, consultation, technical assistance and training to Great Start Collaboratives for the Great Start System Component.

Education and Experience Required
Masters degree from a discipline related to the field of early childhood, with 3 to 5 years of related experience or a Bachelors degree from a discipline related to the field of early childhood with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
