Lansing, MI โ€“ May 5, 2025 โ€“ The Early Childhood Investment Corporation (ECIC), a statewide leader in early childhood, is pleased to announce the addition of Mina Hong as Vice President of Strategic Impact to its executive team. Hong, a nationally recognized expert in early childhood, brings deep knowledge and experience that will complement ECICโ€™s leadership as it works toward a future where all young children and their families in Michigan can thrive.ย

As Vice President of Strategic Impact, Hong will play a key leadership role in ECICโ€™s external engagement, accelerating policy and advocacy efforts and developing strategic partnerships. Hongโ€™s extensive experience at both the state and national levels in early childhood policy, equitable systems building, and advocacy will be essential in fostering collaboration with families, communities, state government, and other leaders to make Michigan a place where every young child has the opportunity to grow and reach their potential.ย

โ€œWe are thrilled to welcome Mina to our leadership team at ECIC. With her in this new role, ECIC will be able to strengthen its strategy and impact on behalf of young children and families,โ€ said Alicia Guevara, ECIC CEO. โ€œMinaโ€™s passion, commitment, and expertise will help move us closer to our vision of ensuring every child and family reaches their full potential.โ€ย

Partnering with public sector leaders, advocacy groups, providers, and families, the Start Early Consulting team helps advance more equitable and responsive early childhood systems. Much of Hongโ€™s work focused on supporting young children with disabilities and developmental delays and their families through more inclusive early childhood systems.ย

โ€œI am so honored to join the ECIC team,โ€ shared Hong. โ€œI look forward to collaborating with partners across Michigan in pursuit of our shared goal โ€” a high quality, integrated, and equitable early childhood system.โ€ย
