NEW Toolkit: Reaching Out to Families and Providers for Free and Low-Cost Child Care

To complement the work of leaders across the state to improve child care ECIC developed a new outreach toolkit designed to help promote the recent expansions that can help more families to access free or low-cost child care. This toolkit, available in English, Spanish, and Arabic, was co-created with parents, providers, and other early childhood advocates.

Income eligibility levels for child care assistance are higher than ever before–currently at 200% of the federal poverty level, and provider reimbursement rates have also been increased. Use the toolkit below to help spread the word about increased eligibility for families and improvements for providers participating in Michigan’s child care and development subsidy program
